So I don’t really do the ‘seasonal decoration’ thing. Most people in the UK don’t. But I can’t help myself when It comes to little bits here and there. I think Blogland USA has corrupted me! (and Mrs Graham-Evans doesn’t help!)
Here is a little glimpse of what is currently residing on my kitchen window sill.
And on my hall mirror, finally replacing the Norwegian Christmas Stars. (Oops, please ignore the reflected mess in the scrapping room!)
I’m sure you all know how to make windmills/pinwheels but here’s the process anyway!
Recognise the Jars from the pirate party? (They once held Sainsbury’s own thai green curry – Oscar’s Fave! Cool shape, don’t you think?)
The papers are from Stampin’ up (of course) and the windmills vary from 3″ to 5″ square.
hole punching (makes fitting the brad easier) get a 4 year old to help you with this, it speed up the process no end! (You’re not Sheldon and so can hear my sarcasm, right?)
See the magnificent colour changing windmill (or that I forgot to take a pic the first time?)
And now for the jar! (butcher’s twine also available from stampin’ up)
3D flowers Sizzix Die – Designed by Tim Holtz, borrowed from Fiona! Obviously you could also fold it all by hand!
For this next bit you need Stampin’ Up’s crystal effects and 17 hands! I don’t suggest the affore mentioned 4 year old, although he did *try* to help! The circle is done with stampin’ up itty bitty circle punch. [considering this wasn’t supposede to be a marketing post there’s a lot of name dropping, huh?]
I *think* I used foam pads to stick them to the jar (yep Stampin’ up make them too – they call them dimensionals!)
